How do I enroll my child in STEMKAMP?

Go to the Camps tab on our website, choose the location of the camp in your school district, and complete the online registration form.

How much does it cost to attend STEMKAMP?

The cost to attend STEMKAMP differs by location. Please see the Camps page for more specific information.

Will I receive a refund if my child is unable to attend?

If you notify your STEMKAMP district director at least 30 days prior to the start of camp, you will not be charged or will receive a refund.

If the camp we want to attend charges a registration fee, is there financial assistance available?

Yes, there is financial assistance available. You should contact the STEMKAMP district director for the camp you wish to attend to get more information on financial scholarships.

What is the general schedule for camp?

Drop off is 8:45 - 9:00 a.m. Camp runs 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Pick up is at 3:00 p.m.

May my child sign himself in and out of camp each day?

This varies by camp; for more information, you should contact the STEMKAMP district director for the camp you wish to attend.

Where is the camp field trip this year?

Each location takes a different field trip. Once the field trip is decided upon, an email will go out to the campers.

Is food provided each day?

Depending on the camp location, lunch as well as a morning and afternoon snack may be provided for all campers, except on field trip day. Your STEMKAMP district director will provide this information for you before the start of camp.

What should my child wear to camp each day?

Campers should wear comfortable clothing which will allow them to participate in a  wide variety of activities. Campers will be participating in hands-on experiments that may include items such as: food coloring, markers, chalk, oil, etc. Please make sure that what your child wears is okay to get dirty, or even stained.  

May cell phones be used at camp?

Cell phones are not to be used during camp except in an emergency to speak with parents/guardians. While we prefer campers not to bring any electronic devices to camp, we understand the security a cell phone may provide; however, phones should not be out during camp hours. Please make sure your child is familiar with our cell phone policy prior to attending camp.

May parents/guardians observe their child during the camp sessions?

To keep disruptions to a minimum, we ask that parents and guardians not come into the camp during camp hours from 9am - 3pm. Family Day, on the last day of camp, is the perfect time for parents and guardians to visit camp, observe and participate with their child(ren) during the day’s programming. Parents, guardians, and community supporters are invited to attend Family Day.

May high school students attend camp?

No, high school students may not attend camp. However, we do hire a select number of high school students who are 16 years old or older to serve as Lab Assistants. Please contact your STEMKAMP district director for more information and to get an application.
